Randy M. Braegger

Mr. Braegger received a B.A. in Japanese
from Brigham Young
University
with a minor in Physics, a
diploma for Japanese Studies at Tsukuba
University
in Japan,
and a Juris Doctor from the University of Utah, S.J.
Quinney College of Law. Mr.
Braegger has completed additional studies
in undergraduate and masters level physics courses at the University
of Utah.
During law school, Mr. Braegger was the
recipient of the CALI Excellence for the Future award in multiple areas
of
study and was additionally a recipient of a College of Law Outstanding Achievement Award. Prior to law school, Mr.
Braegger received the
prestigious Monbukagakusho scholarship from the Japanese Government and
was an
ORCA scholar at Brigham Young University. Mr. Braegger is fluent in
Japanese and has
some proficiency and understanding in other Asian and European
languages and
cultures.
Mr. Braegger’s legal practice focuses on
the preparation and prosecution of United States
and foreign patents
in the mechanical sciences, as well as in a variety of trademark and
copyright
matters. Mr. Braegger has experience in technologies such as
optics,
prosthetics, x-ray, composites, dental implements, appliances,
climbing, rescue
systems, games, and tools. Mr.
Braegger also
has experience in patentability analysis and opinions as well as
mediation,
negotiation, and intellectual property licensing.
He has also worked as a volunteer for
the
Utah Legal Services with the Family Law Clinic and the Bankruptcy
Hotline.
Mr.
Braegger is admitted to the Utah State
Bar. He is admitted before both Utah state and federal courts.
