Steve M. Perry

Mr. Perry is a
graduate of Brigham Young University, where he received a Bachelor of
Science degree from Brigham Young University in 1993 in Computer
Science, and he was a Trustee’s Scholar. In 1996, he
graduated from Brigham Young University’s J. Reuben Clark Law School.
As a
computer science student, Mr. Perry was an instructor’s assistant and
taught operating system architectures and the “C” programming
language. He also worked for the Advanced System Modeling
Laboratory, developing a graphical tool for automatically prototyping
object-oriented software. His study also included courses in
computer architecture, computer hardware design and implementation.
Mr. Perry
spent several years at Erudite Software, Inc. as a software developer,
programming and producing client/server database systems.
This included front end Graphical User Interface design and database
modeling. As a result, Mr. Perry has first hand experience
with various technologies, including databases, software testing and
metric tools, database connectivity, user interfaces, networking, and
computer system design.
He
was in-house counsel for GSE Erudite Software, Inc., now Keane
Consulting, Inc. While employed as in-house counsel Mr. Perry was
involved in a substantial amount of software licensing and trademarks
issues with other large companies. He was also involved with
intellectual property issues, copyrights, contracts, corporate and
business strategy, and employment issues.
Mr.
Perry has prepared and prosecuted numerous patents in various
technologies, including computer networking, wireless communications,
computer security, computer hardware and software, signal processing,
printer driver software, network storage systems, computer chip design,
e-commerce, computer graphics and modeling, semiconductor design and
fabrication, telecommunication, video processes, robotic limbs,
business methods, medical imaging, actuators, sensors, transducers,
micro-fabrication, consumer electronics, and audio equipment.
Mr. Perry is admitted to the
Utah State Bar, and is registered to practice before the United States
Patent and Trademark Office. He is admitted before both the
state and U.S. Federal courts.
